Electroencephalography (EEG) is an instrumented method of recording electrical activities in the brain regions using multiple surface electrodes placed on the scalp. It has been proved to be a preferred method for analyzing and understanding brain functions associated with emotional changes. This is primarily attributed to its non-invasiveness and for its ability to provide high temporal resolution. In this work, an attempt has been made to analyze changes in brain regions during induced emotional response using EEG signals. The EEG electrode responses are analyzed for the prediction and classification of two emotion dimensions, namely arousal and valence. Methods are also explored to differentiate the scales in these emotional states. The objective of this seminar is to present the results of the analysis of EEG signals for induced audio-visual stimuli. The methodology, salient results, and significant conclusions would be discussed in this seminar.
