Partial discharge (PD) activity in gas insulated system (GIS) is one of the major issue to the power utilities and the worldwide researchers are trying to mitigate its formation. In the present study, epoxy MgO nanocomposites were fabricated and its impact on PD activity in GIS has been thoroughly investigated. Also, the influence of voltage profile on PD activity in GIS is elaborated in this work.
