Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) refers to complex heterogeneous conditions that could potentially lead to Alzheimer’s disease. These conditions are associated with varying magnitude of changes occurring in the structures and functions of brain sub-anatomic regions. Magnetic Resonance (MR) images are widely used to differentiate MCI conditions as they are capable of capturing subtle structural changes in specific regions of the brain. In this work, these changes in two regions of the brain namely lateral ventricles and corpus callosum are analyzed using structural MR images together with candidate biomarkers of cerebrospinal fluid. Structural irregularity measures are extracted from these brain regions and are used to differentiate the conditions of MCI namely early MCI and late MCI. Further, these extracted features from lateral ventricles and corpus callosum are fused using deep canonical correlation approach. The objective of this seminar is to present the results of analysis on structural irregularity measures and fusion approaches. The methodology, salient results and significant conclusions would be presented in this seminar.
