Prof Carola Lentz will draw upon her vast ethnographic research in Africa and connect the narratives of her respondents with her own experience as a successful career woman in a "first world" country. What she heard from women in Ghana while tracing the emergence of a middle class in the country, and what she herself experienced while growing up and making a career in Germany -- where do their stories converge and where are they different from each other...?
