In deregulated power systems, reactive power ancillary service through electricity market is becoming relevant where private generation companies (GENCOs) participate in maintaining system wide bus voltage within the permissible limits. A value based reactive power market mechanism assuming perfect competition among GENCOs was presented in Seminar I. In this talk a market mechanism for reactive power ancillary service market based on single leader multi-followers game model will be discussed considering voltage-apparent power coupled subsystems. In the proposed game model, Independent System Operator (ISO) is considered as the leader and GENCOs as followers. Existence of equilibrium, incentive compatibility and individual rationality of the proposed market mechanism shall be then detailed in this talk. To consider participation of distributed energy resources through aggregators, a single leader multi follower game market mechanism based on a novel market power index shall be then presented. The proposed aggregator-market mechanism is then coordinated with market for individual generation companies through truncated diagonal quadratic approximation algorithm. The proposed work is illustrated in PJM 5-bus system and modified IEEE 6-bus to demonstrate incentive compatibility of the mechanism under financial and quantity withholding strategies of participants. The results of coordinated market mechanism is then tested in Nordic 32-bus shall be then presented. The coordinated mechanism induces truth-telling behavior of GENCOs and aggregators, yields a non-negative profit and the system wide bus voltage is improved.
