Cold spray deposits of Al alloys are being explored for repair and refurbishment of aerospace components. The seminar will introduce Al alloys, cold spray as a process and presents the literature survey. The objectives of the proposed work will be presented along with workplan and expected outcomes. Preliminary results using gas atomized 2024, 6061 and 7075 alloy powders will be presented.
