Application of epoxy nanocomposites as potential insulants in power apparatus due to its excellent dielectric and mechanical properties. In the present study, epoxy alumina nanocomposites were prepared and their electrical, thermal and mechanical properties are investigated in detail to further improve its performance in insulation applications. . The mechanisms governing the improved performance of the epoxy nanocomposites are discussed in this work
